Hiab Container Delivery
The simplest way to get a shipping container onto site — delivered and lifted into position by one operated hiab lorry.
Hiab Container Delivery Across the UK
A hiab is the standard way to place a shipping container. It rides on the bed of the lorry, and the lorry-mounted crane lifts it off and sets it down exactly where you want it — on a drive, in a yard, behind a fence or on a prepared base. No separate crane, no forklift, no second visit.
Every booking comes with a trained driver who operates the loader crane, plans the lift and secures the load, so the container arrives and lands safely first time.
- 20ft and 40ft shipping containers — new and used units also available
- Lifted over fences and walls into position
- Trained driver-operator included with every booking
- Yards, drives, sites and prepared bases
Collection, Transport and Offload in One Trip
We collect from the supplier, depot or previous site, transport on the bed of the hiab lorry, and offload precisely at the other end. Moving an existing unit between sites works the same way — lift, load, transport, set down.
Because the crane is part of the lorry, there is no waiting on a separate lifting team and no double-handling. It keeps container moves quick, predictable and quoted as one fixed price. For ongoing site needs, the same service places portable cabins and moves plant and machinery too.

Common Questions
How does hiab container delivery work?
The container is loaded onto the bed of the hiab lorry, driven to your site, and then the lorry-mounted crane lifts it off and sets it down exactly where you want it. One vehicle, one driver, no separate crane or forklift needed.
What size containers can you deliver?
We move the standard range — 20ft and 40ft shipping containers most commonly — depending on weight and access. Tell us the size and where it needs to sit and we will confirm the right vehicle.
Can you place a container in a tight or awkward spot?
Usually, yes. The loader crane gives us reach over fences, walls and obstacles to set the container down precisely. We do not lift over occupied buildings, but most yards, drives and sites are well within range.
Do you supply the container as well?
Yes — we can provide new or used units and we do sell them. Whether you need one supplied and delivered, or just transport and offload for a unit you have already sourced, we can help. Call us or send an enquiry with your requirements.
Can you deliver a shipping container to a residential address?
Yes. We regularly deliver 20ft and 40ft units to homes, farms, rural plots and driveways. The loader crane lets us place them precisely without needing a forklift on site. A road survey may be needed for very tight approaches — just describe the access when you enquire.
How much does hiab container delivery cost?
Price depends on the container size, the delivery distance and any access complications. All jobs are quoted at a fixed all-in rate with no distance surcharges or hidden extras. Call 0330 107 7400 or email us with your postcode and container size for a fast quote.
